Hola a todos! Esperamos que todo vaya bien con vosotros!
So it's nearly the end of 2007 and our first 9 months in Barca... it's been a lovely year of sunshine, adventures, new friends and of course lots of hard work for Will on the MBA!
Barca continues to be a joy with lots of fiestas, good food and very little rain so we're not quite believing it's December already! We are very settled now in our happy apartment in Gracia and also grateful for our visitors from home, not letting us get too homesick! Best highlights this side of the year have been Will's trip to China with ESADE and the La Merce festival in September (lots of free music and great atmosphere in Barca) in September, Miche starting a full time job and finally starting to get a grip on Espanol, some nice trips - to beaches around Barca, South of Spain (Cadiz, Tarifa and Ronda) and up the Costa Brava to visit Dali's homes and the beautiful medieval villages here in Catalunya - and of course the copious nites oot with all the internationals here.
And now Crimbo is nearly upon us! All the Xmas lights are up here and the Spaniards certainly seem keen to get into the festive spirit with the Christmas fairs starting this week and lots of dodgy Xmas decor in the shops with the usual cheesy music on re-play (though no Slade as yet!)
We are back in the UK (Miche in Scotland until Xmas Eve, then down to the Big Smoke for Xmas Day, Will back in Londres from 21st Dec) over the festive period and so hope to catch up with a fair few of our buddies and family from home then. Then heading back on the 28th for New Year in the Pyrenean mountains and a bit of skiing we hope !
